About the service
An app makes sense where a website is awkward to use: daily entries, working from a phone on the move, data that needs to be on hand without an internet connection. We start with roles and scenarios, build an interface where the main action sits on the first screen, and take the project through to publishing on Google Play. Both of our apps for biathlon teams work exactly this way.
Who it suits
- Teams entering data from their phone every day – coaches, technicians, field staff
- Businesses that need an internal tool rather than a public website
- Projects where working without a stable connection matters
- Anyone who wants to be on Google Play under their own brand
What it solves
- Data gets written in a notebook or notes app, then copied into spreadsheets
- The website is awkward when you need to enter something quickly with one hand
- There's no connection out in the field, and work grinds to a halt
- Off-the-shelf apps can't do what your team specifically needs
What's included
- User roles and scenarios
- Interface design
- Android development
- Offline mode and sync
- Google Play publishing
- A month of support after launch
How the work goes
- 01
Brief
We define the roles, the daily scenarios, and the app's main action.
- 02
Structure
We design the screens and the user's path to that action.
- 03
Design
We build an interface that works with a thumb and in bright sunlight.
- 04
Development
We write the app and add offline mode and sync.
- 05
Publishing
We prepare the Google Play listing, pass review, and release.
Timeline: 1–2 months from the approved structure. Price: from $1500 – depends on the number of roles and screens – we fix it after the brief.
Frequently asked questions
Do you build for iOS too?
Our focus is Android and Google Play publishing. If you need an iPhone app, we'll say so plainly at the brief and discuss options, including a web app that works on both systems.
How long does Google Play review take?
Usually anywhere from a few days to two weeks – that's Google's own timeline. We prepare all the listing materials and the privacy policy.
What about updates after launch?
The first month of support is included in the price: we fix whatever turns out to be awkward in real use. After that, by separate agreement.
